SSL certificate monitoring
SSL certificate monitoring
Every https monitor gets certificate monitoring at no extra step. Once a day we read the certificate, store who issued it and when it expires, and email you before it runs out.

SSL certificate monitoring
Warnings at 14 days, 3 days and on the day
Expiry warnings arrive by email and on your alert channels. Several certificates expiring on the same day arrive in one message.
Issuer and expiry on every monitor
The monitor page shows the issuer, the expiry date and days left. The monitor list flags certificates that expire soon, so renewals that failed stand out.
Broken certificates count as down
An expired, self-signed or wrong-host certificate fails the check, and the monitor page names the problem.
Custom ports
Certificates on other ports (https://example.com:8443) are read on that port.

Questions
When do SSL expiry alerts arrive?
14 days before the certificate expires, 3 days before, and on the day it expires.
Do I need to add SSL monitoring separately?
No. Every https monitor gets it automatically.
Does it work with Let's Encrypt?
Yes. Let's Encrypt certificates last 90 days, so a failed automatic renewal is exactly what these alerts catch.
